MICRA Indonesia Successfully Organizes StudentPreneur Bootcamp 5.0 in Five Regions

Medan, 20 July 2024 - MICRA Indonesia held an InaugurACTION & Stadium General event as part of the StudentPreneur Bootcamp 5.0 program activities. In this joint event, MICRA Indonesia shared the successful implementation of StudentPreneur Bootcamp 5.0 which was held for one year in five regions of Indonesia, namely Medan, Padang, Banten, Tasikmalaya, and Ciamis. The training program successfully achieved it’s goal of developing the entrepreneurial spirit among Indonesia's young generation.


StudentPreneur Bootcamp 5.0 is a training program designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills in building and managing a business with the support of various organizations. Local governments, educational institutions, and the private sector helped in the implementation of this program and Asia Affinity Holdings supported the program's sustainability efforts.


For one year, participants received trainings from experts and practitioners in the field of entrepreneurship, ranging from business management, marketing, finance, to business establishment regulations. In addition, participants also got the opportunity to join mentoring sessions that helped them develop their business ideas into reality.

The InaugurACTION & Stadium General event held at SMKN 7 Medan was attended by Executive Director of MICRA Indonesia, M. Alfi Syahrin, and expressed his thoughts on the program's achievement. “We are very proud of the passion and dedication shown by the participants of StudentPreneur Bootcamp 5.0. They have shown great potential as young entrepreneurs who are sure to bring positive changes to the society. The success of this program is all thanks to the cooperation and support of various parties who contributed to the making this program possible,” said M. Alfi Syahrin.


From a total of 2,876 applicants, MICRA Indonesia has selected and trained 405 participants from the five regions. 25% of the participants successfully created innovative business proposals with 33 participants already started their businesses which are ready to compete in the market. This proves that the StudentPreneur Bootcamp 5.0 is not only a learning event, but also a platform for young entrepreneurs to develop networks and expand business opportunities.


MICRA Indonesia believes that the entrepreneurial journey is a long and challenging process which led to the creation of the StudentPreneur Club, a membership platform that can be used to access business modules and schedule consultations as well as other essential support that the members might need in their entrepreneurial journey like information on regulations, policies, and health.


The event was graced with remarks from Evi Herawati Lubis, S. Pd., M.Si , representative of the principals of Medan, and Dr. Suhendri, M.A, Head of SMK Division of North Sumatra Province, Ministry of Education. Chairman and CEO of Asia Affinity Holdings Graham Clark also shared a presentation to the students titled, "Empower Your Future" which was followed by the MoU signing between MICRA Indonesia and the schools who will be joining the Batch 2 of the StudentPreneur Bootcamp 5.0. The event was made livelier by dance and vocal performances from the students of SMKN 7 Medan and then followed by the graduation of the StudentPreneur from Batch 1.



Winners of the Business Introduction Video and Twibbon competitions were also announced during the event. The competitions were held from June 20th to July 7th which gave an opportunity to young studentpreneurs to feature and promote their businesses digitally. The winners of the Business Video Competition are Rani Nurani from Universitas Islam Darussalam (1st place); Widya Anggraini from SMKN 8 PAB Sampali (2nd place); and Dwi Rahma Palesa from SMKN 8 PAB Sampali (3rd place). Meanwhile, the winners of the Twibbon competition were Johannes Sitohang from SMKN 1 Medan, Dida Amala Fiqriyanti from Universitas Islam Darussalam, and Ohca Marcita from Universitas Putera Indonesia.


With this event, MICRA Indonesia is commits to continue supporting the development of entrepreneurs in Indonesia and hopes to organize similar programs in the future. With the same spirit, MICRA Indonesia will continue to strive to produce innovative, creative and highly competitive young entrepreneurs.
